NOTTINGHAM BROADMARSH BUS STATION IS CLOSED! BUSES DEPART FROM ALTERNATIVE STOPS! MORE INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND HERE AND A MAP OF ALTERNATIVE STOPS CAN BE FOUND BELOW.

Nottingham train station is located in the city centre and getting from there to the University of Nottingham is quite convenient.

Taxi (approx. 15 min)

There are two walk-up taxi ranks, located either side of the train station, and a third by the bus station. Expect a fare to University Park Campus to cost £8 - £10, but this will vary with time of day. Typically carry up to 5 people (not including luggage) and are wheelchair accessible.

There is also the option of booking a taxi in advance. Hire taxis will not pick up passengers off the street. Listed below are just three of the available companies. Wheelchair accessible vehicles are available

Uber is also operating in Nottingham and is another option if you have got the Uber app.

Tram (approx. 20 min)

The tram service (NET) runs every few minutes throughout the day, direct from Nottingham Railway Station to University Park Campus. Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines located on each stop (accept cash and card). Single tickets cost £2.20 for a single trip, £3.50 for a day return (Student return £2.50 with valid student ID). An unlimited-use Day Ticket (valid until 2am, tram only) is £4.00; unlimited-use Kangaroo Day Ticket (valid until midnight, tram and most bus services) is £4.50.

PLEASE BUY A TICKET BEFORE YOU BOARD. Random spot-checks occur throughout the day and you will receive an on-the-spot fine of £50 if you fail to show a valid ticket.

The tram stop is located on the bridge over the railway station. Catch a tram going to Toton Lane and get off at the University of Nottingham stop (approximately 20 minutes). Wheelchair accessible; recommended option if not taking a taxi.

Bus (5 - 10 min walk + approx. 25 min)

Busses that stop at the University South Entrance include the Indigo, Skylink, Eighteen (not Saturday), 20 (Sunday only), and Y5. The i4 service stops at University North Entrance. The Indigo, Eighteen20, Y5 and i4 run from the bus stops on Friar Lane. The Skylink departs from Collin Street. Takes approximately 25 minutes, but this will be longer at peak times.

Please also refer to the map of relocated bus stops in the pdf above.

Single tickets cost £2.20 (may vary between services); an unlimited-use Kangaroo Day Ticket is £4.50 (valid until midnight, most bus services and the tram). Both can be purchased from the driver (cash only) and all services leaving Broadmarsh give change. For those with a valid student ID card a student single-journey ticket is available for £1. All busses are wheelchair accessible.
